Bangladesh: Minni remanded for five days in Rifat murder case

Dhaka, July 17: The Bangladesh police have arrested Minni for her alleged involvement in the killing of her husband Rifat.

A Barguna court has placed Ayesha Siddiqua Minni, wife of murdered Barguna youth Rifat Sharif, to five days remand, reported Dhaka Tribune newspaper.

The order was given by Md Sirajul Islam Gazi of Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate court.

Minni was produced before the court.

Rifat was murdered in broad daylight in front of his wife Minni near Barguna Government College on June 26. 

The footage of the incident had gone viral on the social media.

The video footage had left the nation shocked.

A case was filed in connection with the murder at Barguna Sadar Police Station against 12 people on the same day. 

Nayon Bond, who was the prime accused in the case, was killed in a “gunfight” with police on July 2.
