Woman gang raped by eight in Rangpur
The alleged crime took place on Saturday evening.
The case was registered under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act at Hajir police station.
Police confirmed the matter but did not reveal the names as the case is under investigation.
The victim was admitted to the One Stop Crisis Centre of Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Sunday for forensic tests, reported Dhaka Tribune.
According to reports, the woman was out with a man she knew who took her to an isolated place and violated her physically with seven other men.
She fell unconscious during the incident and was later taken to her home by locals who found her crying at the crime spot.
The victim's family said the accused also issued death threats and asked them to stay away from the police.
No arrest has been made so far.
