A petrol bomb exploded outside the Indian Presidents hotel in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on March 4, 2013 as three more protestors died in a wave of violence sparked by the prosecution of Islamists leaders. Dhaka police said the bomb took off just 25 metres outside the Sonargaon Pan Pacific Hotel but it was not clear whether the Indian president Pranab Mukherjee was in the hotel at the time of explosion.
