Pakistan bomb attack kills 8
Islamabad, Nov 25: At least six people were killed and 90 wounded when a bomb tore through a procession of Shia Muslims held to commemorate the holiday of Ashura in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Dera Ismail Khan.
The powerful bomb appeared to have been planted in a shop on the procession route, police said.
The responsibility for the attack, that came just a day after eight people were killed in another blast in the same Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, was claimed by Pakistani Taliban.
The explosion also follows a Taliban suicide bomb attack last week on a procession in Rawalpindi, near Islamabad, that killed 23.
