Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 21 November 2023: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today unveiled the cover of a book titled 'Speeches of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib', a compilation of 58 speeches of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He unveiled the book compiled by Md. Akram-ul-Hossain, chairman and former senior secretary of Palli Samchi Bank at his official residence Ganabhaban.

The introduction of the book was written by the Prime Minister. It includes the QR code of the full audio version of each lecture. The book is published by Mawla Brothers. Compiler Md Akram-al-Hossain and Mawla Brothers owner Ahmed Mahmudul Haque were present at the unveiling ceremony.

The publisher of the book said, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's speech is an invaluable element of history. His speech on the one hand reflects his life of struggle, on the other hand highlights the glory of Bengali nation's self-sacrifice and desire for freedom.

Mahmudul Haque said, Bangabandhu's speech is a bright document of economic, political and cultural independence of Bengalis. As a result of Bangabandhu's historic strong speech on March 7, 1971, the emergence of independent Bangladesh took place through a long nine-month liberation war. Bangabandhu was awarded the title of 'Political Poet' in the international arena due to his historic speech.

Haque said UNESCO later recognized the speech as 'documentary heritage' and included it in the International Register of Memory of the World (MOW). His speeches included in this book will show the way to political, economic and cultural freedom not only for the people of Bangladesh but also for the people of the whole world.
