Shishu Bokta 'Shishu Bokta' Rafiqul Islam Madani records confessional statement
Dhaka, May 29: Rafiqul Islam Madani, known across the country as 'Shishu Bokta' (child speaker), has given a confessional statement in the Gazipur court in the case of the Digital Security Act filed by the RAB. When he was produced in the court of Gazipur Senior Judicial Magistrate Sheikh Nazmun Nahar on Friday (May 28), he made a confessional statement under section 164.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police Senior Assistant Commissioner Shubhashish Dhar said.
RAB arrested Rafiqul Islam Madani from his house in Netrokona on April 8. Four mobile phones were seized from him during the arrest. Several pornographic videos were stored on these mobiles. The next day, RAB handed him over to Gachha Metropolitan Police's Gachha police station. The court later ordered him sent to jail. RAB-1 was investigating the case.
Rafiqul Islam Madani made a mockery of the government at a waz mahfil on February 10 at a factory premises in Kalmeshwar area of Gazipur's Board Bazar. Abdul Khaleq, DAD of RAB-1, filed a case with the Gachha police station on April 8 at around 2:15 am.
In that case, charges have been brought against Rafiqul Islam Madani under sections 25, 28 and 31 of the Digital Security Act 2018. Where aggressive and false intimidation hurts religious values and sentiments; It has been said that it is a crime to destabilize the law and order situation by publishing and broadcasting data in electronic format. Apart from Gazipur's Gachha and Basan police station, there are cases against him in Dhaka's Tejgaon police station.
