Voter List 11 crore 32 lakh voters in the country
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 2: In the updated voter list in the country, 15 lakh voters have been included in the new list. At present the number of voters in the country is 11 crore 32 lakhs.
Election Commission (EC) sources confirmed the information on Tuesday (March 1).
EC Joint Secretary Md. Nuruzzaman Talukder said the final updated voter list will be released locally across the country on Wednesday (March 2).
On March 2, 2021, the number of voters in the country was 11 crore 17 lakh 20 thousand 669. As of March 1 this year, 15 lakh 71 thousand one hundred people have been included in the EC server. At present the information of 11 crore 32 lakh 91 thousand 769 citizens are in the EC server.
However, 33,418 of them did not complete voter registration with their fingerprints. So, the total number of voters in the country is 11 crore 32 lakh 58 thousand 351.
According to EC officials, the number of women voters stored in the EC server is five crore 55 lakh 98 thousand 296, while the number of male voters is five crore 76 lakh 93 thousand 476. There are 454 third gender voters in the list.
The most information EC has is of Dhaka area. The EC has information of one crore 68 lakh 91 thousand 557 people of this area.
The EC has the least information of Faridpur area. The EC server has information about 53 lakh 91 thousand 209 people of the area.
