APBn 200 platoon forces of APBN deployed across country
Dhaka, Dec 30: Two hundred platoons of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) have been deployed across the country in view of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections.
APBn DIG Mullah Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter on Friday night.
He said that 200 platoons of APBn force will be deployed from December 29 to January 10 to support the metropolitan areas and districts to conduct elections in a free, fair and peaceful environment and maintain overall law and order.
Meanwhile, around 7,50,000 members of Police, RAB, BGB, Coast Guard and Ansar will be on the ground to maintain law and order in the elections. They will perform duties under the Election Commission before and after the election and on the polling day.
