As a result, the total number of deaths due to coronavirus in the country has increased to 6,908. In the last one day, 569 more people have been infected with coronavirus, which is the lowest in the last eight and a half months.
The last time the Department of Health reported less patient identification than on May 2 last year; Infections were reported among 552 people that day. On Saturday, 57 new patients were identified.
In a press release issued on Sunday afternoon, the Department of Health said that the number of identified patients in the country has increased to 5 lakh 26 thousand 732 from 569 identified in the last one day.
As per the Department of Health, 61 more patients undergoing treatment at home and hospital have recovered in the last one day. So far, the total number of healthy patients has increased to 4 lakh 72 thousand 438 people.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8; It crossed 5 and a quarter lakh on January 14. Of these, 4,019 Kovid-19 patients were identified on July 2 last year, which is the highest in a single day.
On March 16 last year, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On December 29, it exceeded seven and a half thousand. Of these, 84 deaths were reported on June 30 last year, the highest in a single day.
Of those who have died in the last one day, 18 are men and 8 are women. All of them died at the hospital.
Of them, 18 were over 60 years of age, 6 were between 51 and 60 years of age and 1 was between 41 and 50 years of age.
