Human Trafficking 23 young women rescued from trafficking, 11 arrested from different parts of Dhaka
Dhaka, October 30: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has rescued 23 women who were being trafficked abroad. Meanwhile, RAB has arrested 11 members of the women's trafficking ring.
Major Kamrul, company commander of RAB-4, said 23 women who were being trafficked abroad were rescued from Mirpur, Uttara and Tejgaon areas of the capital on Friday evening. They were being trafficked to various countries, including India and the Middle East.
Eleven traffickers, including one of the ringleaders involved in the smuggling ring, have been arrested. The RAB did not reveal the names of the arrested traffickers.
It said that the operation was going on till the writing of this report. Major Kamrul also said that the details will be announced at a press conference to be held at RAB Media Center on Saturday.
