Dhaka, February 24: Three Rohingya terrorists, including Zakir, a notorious Rohingya robber from Teknaf in Cox's Bazar, were killed in a shootout with RAB. The shootings took place on Tuesday (February 23rd) evening at Jadimura Shalban Hill, next to Rohingya Camp No. 26 in Teknaf.

According to RAB, nine firearms including foreign pistols were recovered from the spot. A RAB member was also shot in the shelling, said RAB-15 Commander Wing Commander Azim Ahmed.

The deceased was identified as Zakir Ahmed alias Zakir, son of Abdul Amin of Rohingya camp in Hnila Nayapara. His MRC number is 26499, shed number is 825, room-02, block-C. Apart from him, the RAB could not immediately reveal the names of the other victims. However, they are identified as Hamid and Zahir, members of the notorious Rohingya terrorist Zakir Bahini in the Shalban area of ​​Teknaf.

RAB-15 Commander Wing Commander Azim Ahmed said that a team of RAB raided the Shalban hill in the afternoon after receiving information that members of the terrorist group Zakir were stationed in Shalban hill with weapons. At that time, sensing the presence of the RAB, the terrorists started firing indiscriminately. Radhab also fired in self-defense.

At one point in the long-running shelling, the terrorists retreated. A search of the spot later turned up the bullet-riddled bodies of the three.

He said nine firearms, including a foreign pistol, were recovered from the spot. Mentioning that the details of the incident will be briefed later, he said that there are more than 20 cases against the robber, including murder, rape, kidnapping and drugs. The expedition team surrounded the spot till 6:15 pm and continued the operation.
