BSF-BGB Agartala border meeting fruitful: BGB
Dhaka, December 10: Brigadier General Tanveer Gani Chowdhury, Chittagong Region Commander of BGB, said that a vigorous discussion took place in the BGB-BSF border meeting to bring down the killings on the India-Bangladesh border to zero. He said this in response to questions from reporters after returning home from Agartala through Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost in Brahmanbaria after the border meeting on Friday (09 December).
A high-level delegation of 13 members of the BGB, led by Brigadier General Tanveer Gani Chowdhury, participated in the three-day long border meeting that began on December 7 in Agartala, India.
The head of the delegation, Tanvir Gani Chowdhury, said that various issues of the border were discussed in the border level meeting of BGB region commander and BSF. Bringing border killings to zero level, stopping illegal drug trafficking and environmental pollution and some other important issues were fruitfully discussed.
Before this, the delegation of BGB went to Agartala through Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost to participate in the border meeting on the morning of December 7.
