Dhaka, July 21: Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen said that due to the over-publicization of foreigners' comments in the media, they are amused by talking about the internal affairs of the country. "Nowhere else in the world do activist ambassadors make partisan comments. They think they are emperors in this country," he said.

The foreign minister said these things to the journalists after the award ceremony organized by the District Arts Academy Sylhet at the Purva Shahi Eidgahsth Academy Auditorium in the city on Friday.

He also said, "Recently 40 people died in panchayat elections in West Bengal. Not a single country spoke. Who did what in our country? It is interference in internal affairs. It is not even close to Geneva Convention. They do this because Bangladesh is a poor country."
