Dhaka, November 12: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said that America has a lesson to learn from the Bangladesh elections. He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters after voting in the Dhaka 18-seat by-election on Thursday.

After voting at IES High School in Uttara, the capital, KM Nurul Huda said, "America also has a lesson to learn from the Bangladesh election. There they cannot announce the election results even in 4-5 days. In Bangladesh, we can complete the vote count in four to five minutes through EVM."

Stating that the BNP's allegations were baseless, he said, "I have been investigating through the presiding officer and the control room since this morning."

Votes are being taken in the by-elections of Dhaka-18 and Sirajganj-1 parliamentary seats of the Jatiya Sangsad.
