Ananda Publishers publishes 'Bangabandhu' novel

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 22: Ananda Publishers, a reputed publishing house in Kolkata, has published a novel, 'Bangabandhu', written by renowned writer and journalist Mostafa Kamal.

The book on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was published on Pahela Boishakh. This has been informed in a recent press release.

Ananda Publishers took the initiative to publish the novel in 2020 on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. But due to the Corona pandemic, the publication of the book had been suspended. The book was published on Pahela Boishakh as the Covid situation improved. The novel is already available in the Indian market and will be released in Bangladesh soon.

Talking about his novel, writer Mostafa Kamal said, "I have done research for 18 long years to write a novel on Bangabandhu. I have worked in libraries in the country and abroad. I have read hundreds of books and magazines. Then I started writing the novel." The period of the novel is from 1947 to 1971.

Mostafa Kamal is a popular novelist in Bangladesh. He started writing in 1984. He started working as a professional journalist in 1991.

Kamal worked for Dainik Sangbad, Prothom Alo and Kaler Kantha.
