Dhaka, July 18: Regarding the attack on independent candidate Hero Alam, Election Commissioner (EC) Md Alamgir said, "He (Hero Alam) tried to enter the center with many supporters. About 70 YouTubers were with him. He was then blocked at the gate. He was said that you can enter with your agent or four-five people. The rest were sent back from the centre. Nothing happened at the polling station. When he came to the road, some people chased him. It is very unfortunate incident. We have instructed the police to conduct a proper investigation. In the meantime, two have been arrested."

EC Alamgir said, voting was held in 124 centers, it cannot be said that the election was not fair with the situation of one center. The thing is we don't know the exact situation yet. We have come across some isolated information. I learned some through you, some through our sources.

He said, "I have not received any news about the election so far. Elections have been completed in every center. The union and municipal elections held outside our Dhaka were also fair. Voting was held everywhere peacefully."

Alamgir said, "We have not received any such complaint so far on the complaint that Banani Vidyaniketan, Shahjadpur Government Primary School and other centers were not allowed to enter. I have been to many centers, no one has complained to us. Now doing yours. YouTubers cannot enter the center. Journalists who have been given a card by the Election Commission can enter. This can happen in three out of 124 centers, it cannot be said that the voting was not fair."
