Dhaka, September 1: Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said Shaon, who was killed in a police clash with BNP activists in Narayanganj, is the nephew of a union Awami League leader there. The minister said this while talking to reporters on current affairs at the secretariat on Thursday (September 1).

On the occasion of BNP's 44th founding anniversary, the police stopped them from taking out a procession in Narayanganj. This led to conflict. Clashes started around 10:30 am in Railgate No. 2 area of ​​the city. A person named Shawn (20) was killed in the clash. BNP is claiming that the deceased Shaon is their worker.

However, the information minister said about the deceased, "The person who died is the nephew of the chairman of a union council there and the general secretary of the union Awami League. Whether the deceased was a BNP worker or a passer-by is still under investigation. I have spoken to the police administration."

Regarding the conflict, the Information Minister said that BNP has planned and organized a program to cause riots across the country. That is why they are attacking the police all over the country. Pedestrians are attacked. Attacking people's property. That is, they have started a new version of the work they did in 2013, 2014, 2015. To create a chaotic situation in the country.

Awami League joint general secretary Hashan Mahmud said, "I have spoken to the police administration in Narayanganj. There BNP was holding a rally by blocking the road without the permission of the police, district administration or city corporation. The police asked them to hold a rally at the party office instead of blocking the road. They blocked the road and started pelting bricks at the police. By attacking the police."
