Sheikh Hasina Awami League never thinks about what it will get: PM
Dhaka, January 19: Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said, working for the people, her party never thinks about what they got but what they can do for the welfare of the people.
While inaugurating the headquarters of Upazila Awami League in Chittagong's Banshkhali, she said, "Considering what we have been able to do for Bangladesh and its people, we have greatly changed the destiny of the country and its people in the last 14 years."
The Prime Minister inaugurated this Awami League office virtually through video conference from his official residence Ganabhaban on Wednesday. On the occasion, the Prime Minister inaugurated another 45 Community Vision Centers in Upazila Health Complexes in 13 districts across the country. Through which this number has increased to 135. As a result, it will be possible to bring one-third of the grassroots people under free modern eye care.
After inaugurating the office of Awami League, she said that this office will help to convey the principles and ideals of her party to the grassroots. Describing Awami League as a people-oriented party, the head of government said, Awami League will always be with the people.
She said that due to the tireless work of her government and party leaders, poverty has been reduced in the last 14 years and it has been possible to ensure all kinds of services including health care for the people. Thanking the countrymen and people for voting her party to power, Sheikh Hasina said, we want to ensure all kinds of services for the people.
