Bangabandhu murderer named in Interpol red alert list

Own representative, Dhaka, January 18, 2021: Interpol has issued a red alert against six Bangladeshi nationals, including the assassin of Bangabandhu.

Two of them, human traffickers, have recently been arrested. Bangladesh seeks Interpol's help in apprehending human traffickers after 26 Bangladeshis were killed in Libya last year. So far, the International Police Organization has issued a red alert for the arrest of six of them. Two of them have been arrested.

The two fugitives arrested in Bangladesh are: Shahadat Hossain of Madaripur and Zafar Iqbal of Kishoreganj. Notices have been issued against a total of six people in this human trafficking ring. CID arrested Shahadat Hossain from the airport. And Zafar Iqbal has been arrested in Italy.

According to the Bangladesh Police, in May last year, 26 Bangladeshis were shot dead by human traffickers in the Libyan city of Mizdah, in which Shahadat and Zafar are accused. The other four accused are Bangladeshi Mintu Mia, Swapan, Nazrul Islam Mollah and Tanjirul. Interpol issued a red alert last November to apprehend them.
Interpol's red list now has ৭৮ Bangladeshi names and identities Among them are the two arrested human traffickers. The names of those whose names are on the list are also mentioned. There is address, age and picture.

Among the 6, there are also the names of the fugitives convicted in the Bangabandhu murder case. There are names of fugitives convicted in war crimes cases. Bangabandhu's killers Nur Chowdhury, Khandaker Abdur Rashid, Nazmul Ansar, Shariful Haque Dalim, Ahmed Shariful Hossain, Moslem Uddin, Rashed Chowdhury have names. Abdul Jabbar Engineer and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad are on the list of fugitives convicted in war crimes cases.

The list also includes the names and photos of Maulana Tajuddin, a fugitive in the August 21 grenade attack case, former MP Golam Faruk Ovi and BNP leader Haris Chowdhury.
Red notices have also been issued in the names of fugitives convicted in human trafficking and murder cases, as well as the top terrorists who have fled in Bangladesh at different times.
