Bangabandhu's vision and ideas can strengthen the friendship between the two countries: Indian High Commissioner
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 9 August 2023: Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pranay Verma said that Bangabandhu's vision and ideas can strengthen the bond of friendship between India and Bangladesh. He wrote the comment in the inspection book after paying respects at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj on Wednesday afternoon.
Pranay Verma wrote, "On the 48th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation of Bangladesh, I have come to Tungipara to pay my respects from the bottom of my heart. Bangabandhu's vision and ideas can strengthen the bond of friendship between India and Bangladesh."
Before this, he reached Tungipara and paid his respects by placing wreaths at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Later he offered special prayers for the peace of the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great liberation war, including Bangabandhu, on August 15th, 1975.
Azharul Islam, Deputy Director of Local Government Department of Gopalganj District Commissioner's Office, Tungipara Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mir Kamruzzaman Kabir, Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Kamruzzaman were present. Later, the Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma visited the administrative building of the Tungipara Bangabandhu Mausoleum. He wrote comments and signed the inspection book kept there.
