Pakistani Diplomat Bangladesh: Bus hits Pakistani diplomat's car, he escapes unhurt
Dhaka: Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan Qamar Abbas Khokhar's car met with an accident on Friday at Rampur Bridge area of Vijaynagar, Brahmanbaria on Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
However, he and his family members were protected for a short time in this incident.
The incident took place when a passenger bus of Durant Paribahan collided head-on with his private car, reports Bangla Tribune.
This incident took place at 11:15 am on the north side of Rampur Bridge under Vijaynagar police station.
Khantihata Highway police sources told Bangla Tribune that he left Dhaka with his family in the morning to go to Srimangal Grand Sultan Resort.
On reaching the place at 11:15 AM, the private car of the Deputy High Commissioner collided with the Durant Paribahan (Dhaka Metro B-13-1932) bus bound for Dhaka from Habiganj. Khokhar was driving himself. His wife Rehena Sarwar Kakar, daughter Huda Abbas Khokhar, son Mohammad Khokhar were in the car, reports said.
The police said helper with the bus. Saiful Islam (30) has been detained.
However, the driver is still absconding.
