Dhaka, May 2, 2021: The risk of infection will increase if all the courts of the High Court Division are reopened in the ongoing situation in Corona.

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain made the remarks while handling the case on Sunday.

The Chief Justice said, ‘I saw thousands of people in the Dhaka Judge’s Court. Everyone hugged each other. I still have this video. What do we do? If we open virtually all the courts here, we will have at least three thousand people gathering here every day. There is no place inside our court. People come and sit in the Eidgah ground, in different places of the court. '

At the time, Appellate Division Judge Mohammad Iman Ali said three advocates on record had died in a single day in Corona in the Indian Supreme Court on Saturday.

Addressing the lawyers, the chief justice later said, "What are we going to do now? We want the court to go. People have urgency. I must listen to the urgent matters. You will be surprised to see the video of Dhaka Court. There were 50,000 people in the Dhaka court that day.

AF Hassan Arif, a senior lawyer at the time, told the court, "What we see in the paper, in the newspapers, we hear from friends, the situation in the market is terrible."
The Chief Justice said, "I want all the courts to function virtually. Let him sit at home and run the court. But people move on to that. Come to affidavit, come to do it, come to do it. Our lawyers have a terrible problem. I came here from Lawyer. 'Later, the court started hearing the case on the agenda of the Appellate Division.

Judicial activities of the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court are being conducted to a limited extent amid the ongoing lockdown. However, considering the financial crisis of the candidates and lawyers, the Supreme Court Bar Association and the lawyers of the Supreme Court have been repeatedly requesting to increase the number of virtual courts.
