Bangladesh detects 596 COVID-19 patients in past 24 hours

Dhaka, June 19, 2022: Corona has been identified in the bodies of 596 more people in the country in 24 hours from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday.

With this, the total number of identified patients so far stands at 19 lakh 56 thousand 328 people.

The detection rate is 7.36 percent. No one died in Corona during this period.

As a result, the total number of deaths remained unchanged at 29,131.

This information has been given in the regular press release about corona sent from the Department of Health on Sunday (June 19).

According to the notification, 49 people recovered from Corona in 24 hours from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday. So far 19 lakh 5 thousand 606 people have recovered. 6,191 samples were collected in 24 hours. 6,084 samples were tested. In contrast to the test, the detection rate is 7.36 percent. The total detection rate since the beginning of the epidemic is 13.75 percent.

On March 6, 2020, the first 3 people in the country were diagnosed with coronavirus. Ten days later, on March 17 of that year, the first person in the country died of the virus. On August 5 and 10, 2021, a maximum of 264 people died in two days.
