Dhaka, February 22: Anisul Huq, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, said that 130 countries have not yet received the coronavirus vaccine. "Governments in many countries say they will go to court if necessary for the vaccine. But Bangladesh is one of the five leading countries in getting vaccine. We got the corona vaccine under the own efforts and supervision of People's Leader Sheikh Hasina. The full credit for this goes to our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."

The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a virtual conference on the occasion of Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day organised by Kasba Upazila Administration in Brahmanbaria on Sunday morning.

Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Masud-ul Alam at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, the law minister further said, "There was a time when the celebration of Martyr's Day had to be stalled. We can do that after winning the war of liberation in 1971. We have reached a Bangladesh where, through Sheikh Hasina's efforts, hard work and dedication, we have been able to get the day recognised as Mother Language Day all over the world."

Complaining that the previous governments tried to stall Bangladesh's progress during their tenure, he said, "The scene has changed after the people handed over the responsibility of the country to the people's leader Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh is now a role model for development."
