Dhaka, December 4: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said Bangladesh cannot forget the atrocities committed by Pakistan in 1971. "The events of 1971 cannot be forgotten," he said. That wound will remain forever, ”a press release from the press wing of the Prime Minister’s Office said.

Referring to the book 'Secret Document of Intelligence Branch on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman' published on Bangabandhu with the documents of the then Pakistan Intelligence Agency, Sheikh Hasina said, "Everyone can know many historical facts from 1947 to 1971 from this book."

Referring to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 'Unfinished Autobiography' (Urdu version) as one of the best-selling books in Pakistan, Sheikh Hasina said it is the most widely read book in Pakistan as in other countries.

The High Commissioner conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina also greeted the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan through the High Commissioner.

The Pakistani High Commissioner said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan had advised them to know about the wonderful development of Bangladesh. Referring to the inactivity of various bilateral and regional forums, the Pakistani High Commissioner sought the cooperation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to activate Foreign Office Consulate between the two countries.

The Prime Minister said there is no obstacle here as regular work continues.

Imran Ahmed said Pakistan wants to strengthen bilateral relations with Bangladesh without any hindrance.

Referring to Bangladesh's foreign policy "Friendship with all is not enmity with anyone", Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said she believes in regional cooperation. The Pakistani High Commissioner praised the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the world arena.

Welcoming the High Commissioner of Pakistan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina assured all possible cooperation during her tenure.
