Bangladesh-India relations is going from strength to strength: Jaishankar

Dhaka, 21 January 2024: India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar feels that the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India are going 'from strength to strength'.

Jaishankar wrote on X Post, I am happy to meet the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Hasan Mahmud in Kampala today. I congratulated him on his appointment as Foreign Minister and wished him success.

India's foreign minister said that India-Bangladesh relations are going from strength to strength. Looking forward to receiving him (Bangladesh Foreign Minister) in Delhi soon. The ruling Awami League has formed the government for the fourth consecutive term by winning the 12th National Parliament elections.

In the new government Hasan Mahmud has been given the responsibility of Foreign Minister. He started his first foreign tour with Uganda.

He is currently based in Kampala. Hasan Mahmood will go to Delhi on the first bilateral visit on the 7th of next month. He himself told this information to reporters last Thursday.
