Bangladesh no deaths due to COVID-19 for the past 18 days

Dhaka, May 8, 2022: No one died of corona virus in the country in 24 hours from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday.

With this, the country has zero death for 16 consecutive days. Earlier, one died on April 20. However, the number of identities has increased.

According to a press release issued by the Department of Health, the total number of deaths in the country so far is 29,126. The death rate is 1.49 percent.

It is said that today 23 new patients of corona have been identified in the country. 10 people were identified yesterday. In the country, 23 new patients have been identified in a sample test of 5,599 people in 24 hours from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday. The detection rate is 41 percent. On the previous day, 10 new patients were identified in the sample test of 2,656 people. Yesterday, the detection rate was 37 percent.

A total of 19 lakh 52 thousand 899 people have been identified in the sample test of 1 crore 40 lakh 12 thousand 648 people in the country till now.

According to the Department of Health, in the last 24 hours in Dhaka district (including the metropolis) 4 thousand 426 people have been identified in the sample test. The detection rate is 40 percent. Yesterday this rate was 39 percent.

Of those infected with the coronavirus, 263 have recovered from hospitals and homes in the past 24 hours. So far 16 lakh 96 thousand 528 people have recovered in the country. The recovery rate is 98.18 percent.
