Bangladesh: Notification issued announcing lockdown from 5 to 11 April

Dhaka, April 4, 2021: The government has issued a notification announcing a lockdown from April 5 to 11 to prevent the spread of corona virus. The notification was issued by the cabinet department on Sunday.

The circular issued by the Prime Minister's Office on March 29 issued a review of the existing situation of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection, subject to conditions. 11 instructions have been given in the circular for compliance from 6 am in April to 12 midnight on 11 April.

The instructions given in the notification have said- 1. All types of public transport, road, rail and domestic flights will be closed. However, this order will not be applicable in case of provision of emergency services of goods transport production system. Besides, the ban will not be effective in the case of people going abroad and returning abroad.

2. Law and order and emergency services, such as relief distribution, healthcare, electricity, water, gas and energy, fire services, port ports, seaport and seaport activities, telephone and internet services, essential goods and services, offices and their employees and vehicles are prohibited. Will be out of reach.

3. All government-semi-government, autonomous office-courts and private offices will be able to bring only the required manpower in the office under their own transport management with a limited range of manpower required for carrying out emergency work. Factories and construction work will continue.

4. No one can go out of the house from 6 pm to 6 am except in case of urgent need (purchase of medicines and necessities, medical services, burial / burial etc.). 5. Only food can be sold and supplied in food shops and hotels-restaurants. Under no circumstances can you eat in a hotel-restaurant.

5. Other stores, including shopping malls, will remain closed. However, stores will be able to buy and sell wholesale and retail products online.
. Raw markets and daily necessities can be bought and sold in open space from 8 am to 4 pm in accordance with hygiene rules. . Bangladesh Bank will provide necessary instructions to keep the banking system open to a limited extent.


6. The Armed Forces Department will take necessary steps to set up a field hospital at a convenient location in Dhaka. 10. District and field administrations across the country will take effective steps to implement the guidelines and law enforcement will intensify regular patrols.
