Bangladesh observes Eid Milad-un-Nabi

Dhaka, 9 October 2022 : Today is Sunday (October 9) on the holy day of Miladunnabi (PBUH).

In the year 570 12th Rabiul Awal on this day as a mercy for the human race, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. This day is considered as a special day for the Muslim Ummah. On this day, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born in the noble Quraish tribe of Mecca city of Arabia in the lap of mother Amina. Almighty Allah sent Rasulullah (S.A.W.) to this prison to free mankind from the dark age and show them the way of light. It is stated in the Holy Qur'an that if the Prophet (PBUH) had not been created, Allah would not have created the world. Due to these reasons and the reality of the Arab world at that time, the importance and significance of this day is very high.

The world Muslim community including Bangladesh observes this day as Miladunnabi on Eid.

On the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi (PBUH), the President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages. In these words, they urged everyone to follow the lifestyle of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and take a vow of brotherhood and human welfare.

The government, various political parties and organizations have undertaken various programs to celebrate Miladunnabi on the holy Eid with religious solemnity and due dignity. These programs include discussions on the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Milad and Dua Mahfil. On this occasion, Islamic Foundation has organized colorful programs throughout the party.

Among the programs organized by the Islamic Foundation are recitation of the Holy Quran at the Tomb of the Father of the Nation in Tungipara, Gopalganj, Doa Mahfil, 15-day Waj, Milad and Doa Mahfil, Seminar jointly produced with Bangladesh Betar, Islamic Cultural Competition, Arabic Sermon Writing Competition, Qirat Mahfil, Hamd-Na'at. .

Also, various programs have been organized in all divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation, 50 Islamic Missions and 77 Imam Training Academies on the occasion of celebrating the Holy Eid Miladunnabi (PBUH) 1444 Hijri.

Arrangements have been made to serve good food in all hospitals, prisons, government children's homes, old age homes, drug addiction treatment centers on the occasion of Miladunnabi (PBUH) celebration on the holy Eid.
