Bangladesh records 11 new COVID-19 deaths

Dhaka, March 7, 2021: Eleven more people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country, including the capital.

With this, the total number of deaths in this epidemic in the country stood at 6 thousand 462 people. The first corona patient was identified in the country on March 6 last year.

In the last 24 hours, 14,054 samples were collected and 21,092 samples were tested in 219 laboratories. The total number of sample tests stood at 41 lakh 46 thousand 205. During this period, 607 new patients have been identified. The total number of identified patients in the country stood at 5 lakh 50 thousand 330 people.

Meanwhile, 1,036 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in the last 24 hours at various hospitals and homes in the country, including the capital. So far a total of 5 lakh 3 thousand three people have recovered. So far, the detection rate is 13.28 percent considering the sample test and the recovery rate is 91.40 percent considering the detection. And the identified death rate is 1.54 percent.

The first coronavirus patient died on March 16 after being diagnosed with the first coronavirus in the country. The total number of deaths till Sunday is 6,472. Of them, 7,398 are males (85.60 percent) and 2,065 are females (24.40 percent).

Analysis of the age of the dead shows that out of 11 people who died in 24 hours, one was in his thirties, one in his forties, two in his fifties and seven in his sixties. Of the 11 dead, six died in Dhaka, four in Chittagong and one in Khulna.
