Bangladesh registers another record as 77 people succumb to coronavirus in a day

Dhaka, April 10: Seventy seven more people have died in 24 hours across the country after being infected with the coronavirus. The death toll rose to 9,661. Of the dead in 24 hours, 53 were men and 24 were women.

At this time, another 5,334 new corona-infected patients have been identified in the sample test. The total number of identified patients stood at 6,78,937.

This information was given in a press release signed by the Additional Director General of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora on Saturday (April 9).

In the last 24 hours, 26,077 samples were tested. In the last 24 hours, the detection rate in the sample test is 20.49 percent.

On March 8 last year, the first corona patient was identified in the country. The first death occurred on March 18 last year. Although Corona went "almost under control" earlier this year, infections and deaths have risen again since late March.
