Bangladesh Bangladesh: Road mishap leaves 2 dead
Dhaka, November 13, 2020: Two passengers were killed on the spot when a speeding Mahindra hit a standing covered van.
4 more people were injured in the incident. The accident took place at Shikarikanda Beltali on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 10:15 am on Friday (November 10).
Mymensingh Kotwali Police Station SI Mehedi Hasan said the Mahindra, which left Trishal in the morning, hit a covered van parked at Beltali. Two Mahindra passengers died on the spot. 4 more people were injured.
The injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. However, he could not immediately identify the victims.
Zakiul Islam, deputy director of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, said three of the four injured were admitted to the hospital. One has been given first aid.
