According to meeting sources, the HSC and equivalent examinations were canceled due to the Corona epidemic, but the vice-chancellors have decided to admit students at the honors level through the admission test in public universities.
Vice-Chancellor of the Public University Council President Prof. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said, "We have decided to take the admission test online." Bangabandhu Digital University Vice-Chancellor Prof. This test will be taken using the software invented by Monaj Ahmed Noor.
He said that in the current situation, it is difficult to take the admission test directly, so the vice-chancellors have emphasized on the online admission test. The Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Digital University has presented a dummy (sample) software suitable for taking exams in today's meeting. Through this it is possible to take all kinds of university exams. Once the software is developed, it will be implemented with the approval of the government and the University Grants Commission.
According to meeting sources, the demand for admission to the university on the basis of GPA after the cancellation of HSC and equivalent examinations has been rejected. At the same time, considering the current situation, most of the university vice-chancellors have given their opinion in favor of taking online exams instead of taking physical exams.
Bangabandhu Digital University Vice-Chancellor Professor Monaj Ahmed Noor said the admission test will be conducted in five stages in a coordinated manner in agriculture, engineering and general universities. Among them, three examinations will be conducted for science, commerce and humanities departments in the general university. A software is being developed for testing. It is named ‘Proctor Remote Exam System (Procus)’. It will be possible to take admission test and internal academic test using it.
He said students can participate in the university admission test online or offline from home. An app will be created for this. It has to be downloaded on mobile or computer.
