Dhaka, January 19: Zayn Siddiqui, of Bangladeshi descent, has been appointed as the first Bangladeshi in the newly elected Biden administration in the United States to serve as a senior adviser to the Deputy Chief of Staff. On January 13 (Wednesday) the Joe Biden administration announced his name as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Zayn Siddiqui, 30, is the only son of Mostaq Ahmed Siddiqui alias Mamun and Kamrun Abedin Helena Siddiqui of Madarinagar village in Sherpur union of Nandail in Mymensingh. They are both doctors in the United States. They immigrated to the United States 32-33 years ago. Zayn was born there. Grandmother Majeda Akhter also lives in the United States with them.

When he visited Madarinagar village in Sherpur union of Nandail, Zain's relatives and villagers said that the people of the village were overjoyed to be appointed as the first Bangladeshi of such importance in Joe Biden's administration. The last time he came to the village was in April 2016 with his father. According to locals, Siddiqui is the pride of Bangladesh.

In addition to distributing sweets in the area on the news of his appointment, prayers are going on in the mosque. The expectation of the villagers is that Zayn will stand by the people of the village in their misery.

At present, Zayn's parents and cousins ​​do not live in the village house. Doctor Mostaq Ahmed Siddiqui's cousin Ratan Siddiqui said, "I take care of their property." One of Zayn's aunt, Nahid Parveen Moni, married Abdul Hai, the younger brother of President Abdul Hamid. After the death of her husband, Nahid Parveen has been acting as Moni Abdul Hamid's personal assistant.

He added that Zayn's father had informed him on his mobile phone that Zaiyn Siddiqui had been appointed to an important post in the Joe Biden administration in the United States. Since then, the village has been flooded with joy.
