Bangladeshis can't visit Hajj this year

Dhaka, June 13, 2021: Considering the epidemic of coronavirus (Covid-19), like last time, no one from any country outside Saudi Arabia is getting the opportunity to perform Hajj this year as well.

However, during the proposed budget speech for the fiscal year 2021-22 in the National Assembly on June 3, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal also said that Hajj transport was closed last year because Saudi Arabia did not allow Hajj due to Corona. Hajj transport will be closed like last time.

The Saudi Arabian government said in a statement on Saturday that pilgrims from countries outside Saudi Arabia would not be able to perform the Hajj this year, given the Kovid-19 Corona epidemic. Hajj will be performed on a limited scale with Muslims from Saudi Arabia and Muslims from other countries residing in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the influential Saudi media Arab News has reported that this time only Saudi citizens and people living in the country will have the opportunity to perform Hajj due to the Corona restrictions. A total of 70,000 people will be able to perform Hajj this year.
