Dhaka, November 23: General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that BNP is the reliable address of militancy.

He said, "BNP is blaming Awami League for the incident of militants escaping from court premises in Dhaka. But BNP is the sponsor of militancy. Shaikh Abdur Rahman, Bangla Bhai was created during BNP's tenure."

Awami League general secretary said these things while inaugurating the district Awami League tri-annual conference at Lakshmipur Stadium on Tuesday.

He said, "Economic recession is going on all over the world. Only having three months of reserves can solve the crisis but we have six months of reserves. BNP is capitalizing on it and creating anarchy in the name of movement."

He urged to have faith and trust in Sheikh Hasina and the boat (Awami League symbol).

Pointing out that BNP is now busy in propaganda, he said, "BNP said that the Awami League government cannot build the Padma Bridge. When the Sheikh Hasina government is doing big development projects, including the Padma Bridge, they are busy in propaganda against the Awami League. They do not see the development of the government. They are now disoriented after seeing the Padma Bridge."

Obaidul Quader said, "Fakhrul lies every word. He looks like a good person, but in fact he tells more and more lies."

He said, the month of independence will be played with BNP in December, against lies and people who keep money in Swiss banks. The main formalities of the conference started with the hoisting of national and party flags.

Laxmipur District Awami League President Gholam Farooq Pinku presided over and general secretary Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan MP moderated the conference as the chief guest was Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim. Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, a member of the party's presidium, spoke as a special guest. Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif was the main speaker.
