Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Sept 16: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has commented that BNP is hesitant to contest the elections for fear of losing.

Awami League is a terrorist group' -- in response to BNP Secretary General's statement, he said, not Awami League, in fact, BNP is a recognized terrorist group at home and abroad. A Canadian court has also identified BNP as a terrorist organization.

Claiming that Awami League is an organization of soil and people and the address of people's trust, Quader said that the position of the Sheikh Hasina government and Awami League against terrorism and communal evil is very strict.

The road transport minister said that terrorism is done by those who are disaffected and fail in the movement and elections. Those who have no positive agenda for public welfare choose terror, and conspiracy as a tool to come to power—BNP is doing the same.

Obaidul Quader said about the BNP leaders talking about the Election Commission, they want to make the Commission controversial and they are carrying out purposeful mischief to question the election system as well.

The Awami League general secretary reminded the BNP leaders and asked, "Did they take anyone's opinion in forming the commission during their regime? Did they have any dialogue with any political party?"
