Barisal BNP is a terrorist group: Sheikh Hasina
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 29 December 2023: Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "BNP is a terrorist group. They are oppressing people through terrorism and militancy. They have made their own destiny by oppressing common people. Again, want to come to power to make a fortune."
She said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the election rally at Bangabandhu Udyan in the city on Friday, December 29.
Sheikh Hasina said, "December is the month of our victory. We have achieved victory in this month under the leadership of the father of the nation. National elections on January 7. We have come here for that purpose."
She said, "The father of the nation sacrificed his life for this country. They not only killed Bangabandhu but also killed the spirit of the liberation war. The people of Bangladesh have been suffering from extreme poverty for a while. Awami League made the country a free country from there. has autocompleted."
She further said, "BNP arrested me from 2007-2008. They wanted to block the development of the country by detaining me, but they could not. The Awami League government came to power and ensured the food security of the people of the country. People who could eat one meal before can now eat three."
She said, "We are giving free books all over the country. We have given social security, old age allowance, disability allowance. We are standing by the common people during the covid period. Farmers can now open a bank account for 10 taka. We are delivering all their materials to their homes, providing subsidy worth Tk 25 thousand crore."
The Prime Minister said, "Barisal was once a granary. Again this Barisal will be self-sufficient in food. I will make a medical university in Barisal. I have built bridges on every river from Dhaka to Barisal. Now there has been a lot of improvement in the neglected Barisal. I have made a naval base here. In the southern region We have done various developments including solar panels, Payra port. We will arrange to bring Bhola gas to Barisal. If anyone is landless, they will be given a house free of cost. Not a single person will be poor in the country."
