Dhaka, June 10: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that Jamaat-e-Islami has been fielded by their mentor BNP. This means they are preparing for arson and vandalism. He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League at Khilkhet in the capital on Saturday.

The rally was held against the anti-national conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat.

Urging not to be confused by the statements of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Obaidul Quader said, "We are not calling them (BNP). If the caretaker accepts, who will sit with Sheikh Hasina if she resigns, if Parliament is dissolved? If the government resigns, will they hold dialogue with air? Mirza Fakhrul is talking incoherently. Don't get confused by his words. If we want a peaceful environment in the country, three ghosts must be removed from the head- the caretaker government, the resignation of Sheikh Hasina and the dissolution of parliament."

The Awami League government is not afraid of the US visa policy and the Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, "We are preparing for free and fair elections. BNP will have to pay the price if it does wrong."

Referring to the picnic party in the name of the BNP rally, Awami League general secretary said, "They will march again. They are allies with 52 parties. Many teams have forsaken them. Now how many parties are in a mess of unity."

Obaidul Quader said that the movement needs a leader, "A movement without a leader, without people - that movement will not take the form of a mass movement. Both leaders of BNP have been sentenced. One is in the hospital, the other has fled to London. He is issuing orders online from there every day. Disobeying the court's verdict, across the river Thames, he's sending orders from there."

Addressing the fugitive leader of BNP, Tarique Rahman, Obaidul Quader said, "If you want a mass movement, if you want a wave of mass movement, come if you have honest courage, come to the streets, it will be fought - who will lose, who will win, we will see. We will be in the field, we will fight."
