Dhaka, September 19, 2021: BNP is creating chaos in the country on the one hand and is also involved in a conspiracy to destroy the image of the country abroad.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his residence on Sunday (September 19th) in the wake of BNP protests and demonstrations ahead of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's arrival in New York to attend the UN General Assembly.

Obaidul Quader strongly condemned the BNP's conspiratorial mischief. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has not visited foreign countries in the last 19 months due to the Corona epidemic, but she has decided to join the UN General Assembly in the national interest, he said.

Obaidul Quader said that is why the Prime Minister is joining directly without being involved virtually. He further said that realizing the importance of the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina did not want to miss the opportunity to speak on behalf of the people of Bangladesh in the ongoing UN forum on various issues including Corona, climate change, Rohingya crisis.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader lamented, "We are surprised to see that the BNP is starting protests before the arrival of Sheikh Hasina in New York at the center of this important visit of the Prime Minister." Noting that the BNP has lost the confidence of the people due to anti-politics, Obaidul Quader said, "The BNP is now holding a series of domestic meetings.

Obaidul Quader said that no one will be able to break the record of cruelty and political oppression set by the BNP while in power, adding that the Sheikh Hasina government does not believe in cases in absentia. If someone commits a crime, he is seen as a criminal.

Addressing the BNP, the Awami League general secretary said, "No matter how much we try to destroy the ongoing stability of the country, it will never succeed."
