Dhaka, March 29: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader has accused the BNP of being involved in the ongoing violence in the country. He said, "It is as clear as day that the BNP is involved in the violence of extremist groups in different parts of the country." He was speaking as the chief guest at the Harirampur Upazila Awami League conference in Manikganj on Monday (March 29).

Obaidul Quader alleged that the BNP has started arson-burning politics again by relying on extremist communal groups. "The BNP is inciting a communal group to create a volatile situation in the country," he said.

"Even though the BNP continues its politics of imposing its traditional responsibilities, it is clear to the people today that they are inciting extremist communal groups to prevent political defeat," he said.

Commenting on the BNP leaders' cats coming out of their pockets, the Road Transport Minister said, "Through the use of technology, law enforcement agencies have received evidence of inciting them (BNP) in the last 2/3 days of violence."

Obaidul Quader said, "The BNP has proved in the past that killing, terrorism and arson culture is a strategy of BNP's anti-politics, which has been proved again."

Quader also said that the Awami League and the government are ready to deal with all these anti-national activities politically.

The general secretary of the Awami League also called upon the party leaders and workers to unite and stop all malpractices and build resistance against them.
