Dhaka, April 24: Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that the BNP is an open patron of anti-liberation and anti-communal monsters. He said the BNP was involved in all the incidents of Hefazat violence in Dhaka, Chittagong and Brahmanbaria.

Obaidul Quader said this while distributing Iftar items among helpless and unemployed people organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League on Friday morning. He joined the ceremony virtually from his official residence.

In response to BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's statement, "the government has turned the country into a hellhole." Not the government, but the BNP's fire and terrorism in the name of the movement is the name of barbarism.

Noting that the BNP is now resorting to barbarism to take revenge on the people, Obaidul Quader said, "They have been brutalizing the minority community as well as the Awami League leaders and workers after the 2001 elections." He said that with the help of the people, the government is moving forward and will move forward by tackling the communal monstrous evil forces.

Expressing hope, Obaidul Quader said Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would break the black teeth of the evil forces of darkness and move forward on the golden horizon of liberation war.

Referring to the Awami League as the only political party that has gained the confidence of the people from its inception till date, Obaidul Quader said, "Even in the ongoing Corona crisis, the Awami League has set a shining example of humanity by standing by the helpless and toiling people of the country."

He said under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, the people's representatives and party leaders and workers have stood by the people not only with security equipment but also with cash and food aid. Calling on the party leaders and the able-bodied to come forward to help the helpless, the downtrodden and the uprooted, the floating people who have been left jobless due to the lockdown, the Awami League general secretary said cash and food were among the destitute, helpless Content distribution must be kept ongoing.
