Mirza Fakhrul BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul's bail hearing on Thursday
Dhaka, Dec 4: The High Court has fixed Thursday (December 7) for the bail hearing of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in the case filed at Ramna police station in connection with the attack on the residence of the Chief Justice in the capital Dhaka.
On Monday, the High Court bench of Justice Md. Salim and Justice Shahed Nooruddin fixed the day.
On October 29, the police filed a case in Ramna police station on the charge of attacking and vandalizing the Chief Justice's residence during the BNP's general meeting on October 28. In that case, 59 BNP activists, including Mirza Fakhrul and Mirza Abbas, were accused.
Mirza Fakhrul was arrested in this case on October 29. On this day, a bail application was made in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court of Dhaka. The court rejected his bail application that day and ordered him to be sent to jail.
