BNP will have to take part in election under existing system: Obaidul Quader

He said the BNP was trying to fish in troubled waters to question the election. BNP will take part in the election when the time comes. There is no other way out of the rules. The BNP has to come to the polls according to the existing system.

Obaidul Quader said this while addressing a discussion meeting on the occasion of the founding anniversary of Matsyajibi League at the central office of Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Sunday.

The general secretary of the Awami League said polls will be held in Bangladesh in the same way as elections are held in other democracies of the world. Elections will not be held under the government of Sheikh Hasina, elections will be held under the Election Commission. The government will co-operate with the Election Commission for free, fair and fair elections. This is the rule, there is no other way out of it. The BNP will have to come to the polls following this method.

Advising the BNP to come to the polls, Obaidul Quader said, "Why would Sheikh Hasina's government resign in the words of the BNP! Those who failed in the movement, those (BNP) who failed in the election will have to resign from top to bottom. Sheikh Hasina's leadership is being praised all over the world."

He said that Sheikh Hasina will not resign in the words of BNP. BNP is a failed political party. They will resign. National elections will be held under the Sheikh Hasina government. The BNP will have to come to the polls accepting this.

Obaidul Quader said that after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation, no brave and popular leader like Sheikh Hasina was created. Today we are proud of Sheikh Hasina. Because Sheikh Hasina is one of the three honest prime ministers of the world.
