Dhaka, January 12: BNP has announced a nationwide rally on January 16 protesting against the increase in electricity prices and demanding 10 points.

The general secretary of the party, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, announced the program on Wednesday in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan. He said that this program will be held on January 16 in district, upazila, metropolis, municipality and centrally.

Mirza Fakhrul said, today's mass situation has become a great ocean. We appear before you today at the juncture of an era. As I stand here and speak, 600 workers in Keraniganj are spending days in jail in indescribable misery. They are looking at your mass movement. You will free them.

He said, this government has become separated from the people and has resulted in a bankrupt party. So we have to depend on the police and bureaucrats. They are not getting any way to stay in power without torture. So people want freedom from this terrible fascist government.

BNP Secretary General alleged that this government has only one goal, it wants to establish unfair one-party rule. We cannot allow that. Therefore, the movement to oust the government has started to protest against this injustice, all political parties have united. Civil society, prominent citizens have also come forward, speaking out against misrule. Everyone has taken to the streets with 10 points. But for that you have to wake up stronger. Let's wake up, build people's Bangladesh.

Dr. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, president of the public space program and member of the BNP's standing committee, said that whenever the BNP gives a peaceful program, the government gets scared and says that we give a program for violence. But activists have proved every time that BNP believes in peaceful programs.
