Prime Minister Birthday Boat ride on Turag River on Prime Minister's birthday
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 28 September 2023: The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) under the Ministry of Shipping has organized a boat ride on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 77th birthday. It is said that on September 28 at 3:30 pm, a boat ride will be held on the Turag river at the end of Dhaka Udyan main road in Mohammadpur. A total of 12 teams namely Buriganga, Shitalakshya, Turag, Dhaleswari, Ichamati, Karnaphuli, Surma, Kirtankhola, Ariyal Khan, Dakatiya, Banshi and Balu Nader will participate in various events.
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury will be present as the chief guest. Member of Parliament Haji Mohammad Salim, Member of Parliament Md. will be a special guest. Sadek Khan, Member of Parliament veteran freedom fighter Aga Khan Mintu and Ministry of Shipping Senior Secretary Md. Mustafa Kamal. BIWTA Chairman Commodore Arif Ahmed Mostafa will preside.
