Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 11: Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen has commented that the killing of people on the border is shameful for New Delhi even after the decision was taken at the highest level of Bangladesh and India.

He made this comment while talking to journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (October 10).

When asked about the loss of life of two Bangladeshis in the Satkhira and Chuadanga borders last Sunday (October 9), Dr. Momen said, "It is very sad. After a few days, people died on the Bangladesh-India border. Although it has been decided at the highest level, we don't want to see even a dead body at the border. But still accidents happen."

"The killings at the border are sad for us. If they don't keep their forces under control, a strong, advanced, mature democracy like India, if they don't keep their people under control, it's a shame on them," he said.

Regarding the instability on the border of Bangladesh due to the conflict between the Myanmar army and the armed rebels of that country, the Foreign Minister said that the Prime Minister has given directions on the Myanmar issue today. But the UK and the European Union are increasing trade in Myanmar.
