Dhaka, February 3: The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has returned five Bangladeshis detained on charges of illegally entering India through the Jahurpurtek border in Chapainawabganj.

The arrested Bangladeshis are: Mohammad Subel Ali (23), son of late Abdul Quader of Ali Nagar mahalla of Chapainawabganj municipal area; Genrul Islam, 15, son of Durul Huda of Charbagdanga village in Sadar upazila; Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, 18, son of Humayun Ali of Itahar village in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi; Nurul Islam's sons Yusuf Ali (13) and Ishaq Ali.

Chapainawabganj 53 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Mohammad Suruj Mia said this in a press release on Wednesday (February 3).

At around 1.30pm on Tuesday (February 2), five Bangladeshi nationals illegally entered India through the area under the responsibility of the battalion's Jahurpurtek BOP, according to its own intelligence.

They were brought back from the BSF through a flag meeting in coordination with the BSF, confirming the immediate real truth.

They were later handed over to Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station, the BGB official said.
