Gazipur Accident Bus mows down four garment workers in Gazipur
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 15: Four garment workers were killed when a bus ran over them in the Basan police station area of Gazipur. Their identity was not immediately known.
The accident took place at the Telipara area of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 8:30 am on Saturday (October 15).
Basan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Malek Khosru Khan said that four people died on the spot when a bus of Basumati Paribahan rammed a three-wheeler van from behind. All the dead are believed to be garment workers. They were going to work in that van. The bus was impounded after the accident.
He also said that the process of recovering the body and sending it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital in Gazipur for post-mortem is underway.
