Dhaka, January 9: The court has granted bail to Amatullah Bushra, who was arrested in connection with the unnatural death of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Fardin Noor Parash (24).

The bail order will remain in force until the final investigation report is submitted. The judge gave this order after the bail hearing in the court of Dhaka's 7th Additional Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Tehsin Iftekhar on Sunday (January 8).

Lawyer Mokhlesur Rahman Badal appeared on behalf of Bushra in court. On the other hand, the state opposed her bail. Fardin's father was also present in the court. After hearing both sides, the court granted the bail order. Additional Public Prosecutor Mahbubur Rahman of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court confirmed the matter of bail.

Earlier, on November 30, Bushra appealed for bail in the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court. Then on January 5, Bushra's bail hearing was held in the same court. After the hearing, the court fixed January 8 for the order on Bushra's bail.

Earlier, Fardin's father Noor Uddin alleged that the body went missing after the murder in a case filed at Rampura Police Station on November 10, claiming that Fardin was murdered. Fardin's girlfriend Amatullah Bushra was made the number one accused in that case. She was arrested the same day. Now she is in jail after five-day remand.

In the complaint, Fardin's father Noor Uddin said that Fardin was killed in a planned manner by the killers in Rampura area or elsewhere. His girlfriend Amatullah Bushra was behind this murder. Before that, on the afternoon of November 7, the naval police recovered the body of Fardin from Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj. After the post-mortem, the doctors said, "numerous injury marks were found on his body, he was murdered".

DB Police and RAB have reached a kind of 'compromise' regarding the latest investigation progress and said that Fardin has voluntarily died or committed suicide. According to the DB police, Bushra, who is in jail, is innocent in the case of Fardin's death.
